We are working towards a face lift that will not only look like it did back in the day, but will repair and strengthen it.
The Supiks have never charged for events at the Safe House, so now we must begin to raise funds to keep this legacy going. This valuable history is a part of all of our lives and it is important that we work together now like they did on the UGRR to make sure this house and the lessons it teaches us will be here for all to enjoy. Safe Houses were the heart and soul of the Underground Railroad. They were not the sorrow and misery of slavery. THEY WERE FREEDOM! THEY WERE HOPE! That is what we all must strive to preserve.
